Mark is a needle made of a non-repositionable stainless steel wire for pre-operative localization of non-palpable breast lesions. The reduced dimensions of the "slim line" cone allow for the needle to be inserted through the holes of a mammography machine's compression plate.
This device is equipped with an AISI 304 stainless steel cannula with a lancet tip to enable high penetration capacity, avoiding excessive deflection and maximizing insertion precision. The device also comes with a transparent luer lock with an insertion funnel for easy wire loading.
The wire is marked in two points, indicating the hook position within the cannula. The first line indicates that the wire is within the tip of the needle and the second line warns the user that the hook is outside of the tip. The needle can be used for dye injections and liquid aspirations.
Centimeter markings and a sliding stopper on the surface of the cannula allow for easy determination of insertion depth. The needle also comes with a clamp to fix the protruding wire to the skin. Optionally, the device can be provided with the NeedleVise® safety device with reference code: PNSRxxyy.
