Palium® Needle is a tru-cut disposable needle suitable for use with the Palium® Gun and Bard Magnum® reusable gun.
The device is equipped with an AISI 304 stainless steel cannula with "Menghini" sharpening that allows for atraumatic, precise cutting of soft tissues. Centimeter markings on the cannula surface allow for easy determination of insertion depth.
The handle of the device includes a luer lock to enable connection to syringes for aspiration or injection of anesthetic. The stylet features an ultra-sharp trocar tip and 18.5 mm specimen notch to capture the sample.
Echogenic markers enhance the needle's visibility under ultrasound Needle size with international color codes is stamped on the spacer and on the primary packaging.

Palium® Needle with Coaxial contains the same features of the standard Palium Needle, but comes supplied with a coaxial introducer needle.
The use of a coaxial needle provides the following advantages:

faster cannula advancement by avoiding friction of parenchymal tissues

ability to perform multiple biopsies by inserting the needle into the coaxial that remains inside the target tissue

easier and more precise biopsy site location thanks to echogenic markers
